Free One-Day delivery is a new delivery option, available only to Amazon Prime members, at no additional cost. One-Day delivery is unlimited for members. What else should I know about Amazon Prime?
- An Amazon Prime membership is only available to end consumers using Amazon Prime for private use and is not available for Corporate Accounts, legal entities or for customers who purchase items for business or institutional use or for the purpose of resale.
- If only some items in your order are eligible for Amazon Prime you'll be charged applicable delivery fees for the ineligible items.
- Amazon.co.uk may ship eligible purchases using either ground or air delivery services. These options do not correspond directly to any carrier-branded One-Day delivery or Express delivery services.
Can I cancel my membership to Amazon Prime?
You can cancel your membership in Your Account at any time before you or your registered guests have made any eligible purchases and we will refund your full membership fee. To do this, visit the "Prime Settings" link of Your Account and click the "Cancel membership" button. It can take up to two days for completing this process. For any trial or other promotional memberships you may cancel such membership at any time by clicking "Prime Settings" in Your Account and selecting the "Do not upgrade" button.
Does my membership renew automatically?
Yes, your membership is set up to automatically renew annually. You can use Your Account to choose not to renew or to update your preferred payment method for membership renewals. If the preferred method is unavailable (for example, a credit card has expired), for your convenience we will use another payment method we have on record for you. Your initial sign-up is an authorisation for us to use the preferred or other available payment methods.
Is a promotional trial membership different from full membership?
We sometimes offer various trial or other promotional memberships. Trial or other promotional memberships can be cancelled at any time by visiting the "Prime Settings" section of Your Account and choosing not to upgrade to regular annual membership at the end of the trial period by selecting the "Do not upgrade" button. The Amazon Prime Terms & Conditions apply to these memberships except as otherwise stated in the trial or other promotional offers.
Can I order using 1-Click?
Amazon Prime works best when you use 1-Click Shopping. Amazon Prime members see a special ordering stripe at the top of product detail pages. Most of the time, you'll see two members-only 1-Click buttons in the stripe: one button instantly orders the item with free One-Day delivery, and the other button orders the item with Express delivery (get your order before 1pm) for just £4.49 per item. And, if you are in London and Birmingham you will see a third one that will order the item with Evening delivery.
To get the most out of Amazon Prime and 1-Click, please check your 1-Click settings: - Is 1-Click turned on? Members-only shopping buttons will not appear if 1-Click is disabled.
- Is your default delivery address a P.O. Box or BFPO address? Make sure you provide a street address. We cannot use One-Day, Express or Evening accelerated delivery services for P.O. Box and BFPO address deliveries.
- Is your payment information current? You may want to update your default credit card number and expiration date.
- What should I set as my default delivery speed? If you use the standard 1-Click button on the right-hand side of product detail pages, for all Amazon Prime eligible orders, we shall override your delivery speed setting to free One-Day delivery when applicable. However if you use 1-Click buttons anywhere outside of the detail page or on ineligible items, your default delivery speed will apply.
Can I shop without using 1-Click?
If you prefer to use the shopping basket instead of 1-Click, simply place items in your shopping basket and proceed to checkout as usual. On the order summary page, you will see: - Amazon Prime-eligible items are recognized and the delivery method defaults to Free One-Day Delivery to United Kingdom Mainland Locations.
- The option to upgrade your shipment of eligible items to Express Delivery for £4.49 per item.
- The option to upgrade your shipment of eligible items to Evening delivery to London and Birmingham for £7.48 per item.
- For free One-Day your delivery preferences default to "ship items as they become available" (at no additional cost to you) to ensure your items arrive as soon as possible.
